Yesterday I did the chola shoot with model Jennifer Heart.
She is the most beautiful cholita I have ever seen!
Can you believe this girl has three kids? First set we shot on a wall on Central and Edith.
She was a good sport, very easy to work with and I actually had fun shooting her.
The other site was underneath the "Chevy on the Stick" on Gibson and San Mateo.
It was a good shoot, I am happy with the results.
Thanks to Vero and Maria for helping me with the shoot, could not have done it without you and it was nice to hang out with both of you.

Cholita
pretty much a tough girl.Usually a female version of a vato. They draw their eyebrows on and wear chuck taylors and carry a glock.

Yes, I would love to. What makes a photo appealing is preparation, otherwise it will be just another picture, which is not what I look for in my shoots. Most models do a lot of preparation for the shoots I am doing, which conveys a message of some sort. The interesting part is that they are theme based, as the chola style in this case. I try to look at my work as art versus just a good picture. I wrote about this at length in a previous post.
If I could get any of the familia motivated enough to do a shoot with me would be nice.
I especifically took the girls with me to get them interested and so they could see what a shoot consists of.
People don't realise that I been photographing for a long time and have always had an interest in theme based photography. I took this one of Martin at around 1978, not quality, but I had a lot to learn back then.
PS: What is a cholatia?

Dude love the picks, and I am very glad to hear Berthitias girls went with you, but why not take picks of them they are cholas. ans you are right that cholatia is very pertty!!
