Tragic Beyond Belief

Tiffany Toribio placed her hand over her 3-year-old son's mouth as he slept on this playground bridge in the middle of the night.
She held him down until he stopped squirming.
Toribio then performed CPR on her son Tyrus who started breathing again. He was shaking, his eyes were rolled back. She then suffocated him again. She placed her hand over his face until he stopped breathing.
Only this time she didn't revive little Ty.
She dug a hole with her hands in the sand underneath a swing set, put Ty in it and buried him.

"Tragic beyond belief"
Albuquerque Police Department Chief Ray Schultz said, fighting back tears.
"Nothing motivates law enforcement more than when a child is made victim. We feel a special connection with those who are often too young or too small to protect themselves. ... Words cannot describe the emotion felt by all who wear the badge. ... The mood here at APD is comprised of great sadness and unspeakable horror. How could a mother do this to her child? No excuse will ever satisfy our curiosity, nor will it quell our disbelief....."

Dozens gather to mourn Tyrus.
A rosary was held Saturday night at the Albuquerque park where a boy's body was found after he was killed at the hands of his mother.
Tyrus Toribio rest in peace.

Well from what I read the people she was living with kicked her out cause of the way she treated the boy, what on earth were they thinking take the boy away. I also read that when she was eating he would go up to her and she would kick him away, it makes me sick to just think about it. all we can do is keep our kids safe.

tia... good point about the grandmother.. she should have kept her grandson safe in her custody.. bet bet she feels guilty as well... she could have saved his life and all those stupid poeple that were just sitting around doing nothing.. there dumb !! and it makes me so angry at them.... and now shes making excuses .. please!! now i hope the thoughts of her son eat her brain out ..!!!!!! and i hope she realizes wat she has done to a little boy who had no idea what was going on....

MIja!(meggie) my thoughts are with you all those things ran threw my mind too, its so sad, but what is worse it sounds like this boy might had lived if someone had made a call when they witness the boy miss treated. Her mother throwning her out is one thing but her grandson no that was just wrong, I am not taking away what this mother did she truly had problems and now she needs to take reasponceablity for waht she has done. I followed this News from the time it came it, it really made me sad, poor little boy:). sounds like the police tried to help her out with info but she refused, and there was not warrent so what could he had done different haow could had he known.

This is a really sad thing that had to happen to this poor little boy... she had to be mentally ill to do this to any child !! less to her own... I think they should do the same thing to her... poeple like that dont deserve to live... but then again who am i to say who lives and who doesnt its just my thoughts... they should lock her up and treat her like crap!!!!!!!!!!

If you have been following the news now she is trying to put the blame on the department, women like that should no be allowed to have children. We think what kind of mother or even person can even think about hurting a innocent child. If she didn't want her baby why did she just not give it to some one. I also blame all the people that knew she miss treated that child why did they not do anything. That brought such saddness to me and only makes me love my kids more. God bless him
